About The Department:

The Division of Aging and Adult Protective Services (AAPS) is one of four Divisions within the Office of Adult, Aging and Disability Services. The Division exists to provide state leadership and supervision for all services (state, county, local, non- profit, etc.) in the administration and coordination of services to older adults and at-risk adults, to include oversight of all 64 county departments of social/human services in the administration of Adult Protective Services (APS) programs as well as the 16 Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) in the administration of programs and services funded by the Older Americans Act (OAA) and State Funding for Senior Services (SFSS).

The Division consists of the following management units that report to the Division Director:
  • State Unit on Aging (SUA), and within, the SUDS Data Team;
  • Adult Protective Services, and within, the CAPS Check Unit (CCU), and APS Policy Unit
  • Data, Fiscal and Program Accountability functions are included in both units.

The SUA provides statewide supervision and guidance to the 16 Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) in the administration of the services provided with OAA and SFSS funding. This includes providing training and technical assistance, conducting monitoring and other quality assurance activities, and establishing regulatory policy and program requirements.

About the Position:

The Salesforce Administrator position will provide support and maintenance of the Unit’s data system for monitoring activities of the AAAs for the SUA. This data system is the primary mode by which all federal Older Americans Act (OAA) and State Funding for Senior Services (SFSS) programs in the State of Colorado are tracked and reimbursed. Over $58 million in services a year to older Coloradans are entered into this data system, making this position critical to these services. This position has responsibility for the maintenance and support of all data system issues, support tickets, system security, and monitoring.

Additionally, as the Salesforce Administrator, you can expect to:

Manage data by maintaining, ensuring data security, accuracy, integrity and operating data systems efficiently and effectively.

This position is responsible for helping maintain the SUDS data systems, by recommending efficiency improvements, analyzing, designing, proposing updates and changes to internal and external stakeholders, collecting requirements with stakeholders, supporting testing and UAT, maintaining database access, and creating training and updating documentation

  • Ensure strategic and coordinated systems management, accuracy and integrity of data, and reporting of data to internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead the help desk for the SUA data systems for associated vendors by troubleshooting access, errors, issues, ad hoc requests, and reports.
  • Monitor statewide program compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements in coordination with the SUA program specialists
  • Interpret SUA policy for statewide users as it relates to the system; participates in programmatic analyses and builds data reports or gathers other information needed to determine impacts related to the data system; and develops reports to assess program compliance.

    The position monitors system usage anduser licenses.

  • Conduct other duties as assigned based on the needs of the Department, the Office, or the Division leadership.
  • Qualifications

    Special Requirements: Experience with Salesforce technology is required.


    Experience Only:
    • Six (6) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position

    OR

    Education and Experience:
    • A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to six (6) years.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Salesforce Administrator Certification

    • Experience with help desk

    • Experience using Agile software tool, such as Jira

    • Experience coordinating communications and training rollout to ensure statewide user adoption of new processes

    Employment history is calculated on a full-time basis (40/hrs per week). Part-time employment is calculated on a prorated basis to determine qualifications.
