This job is for a sales clerk at an outdoor recreation cafe on a Space Force base in Colorado, where you'll handle selling snacks, drinks, and candy to customers while managing cash transactions and keeping the area tidy.
It's a flexible, part-time role without benefits, open to anyone who can prove eligibility preferences like veteran status.

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Beam Me Up Cafe on Schriever SFB. This position is Flex and does not come with benefits.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in clerical or office work.
Experience in receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items, which includes direct handling of cash and use of cash accountability control methods is preferred.
Must have the ability to perform common arithmetic problems and making change when receiving payments from customers. Progressively demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.
Must be able to read, write and speak English; communicated both orally and in writing; and possess skills dealing with the public.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:
Performs primarily receiving and disbursing cashier duties by selling a variety of merchandise items such as pre-packaged snacks, beverages, and candy.
Operates cash register, ring up sales, receives money and makes change, processes credit card sale, or charges to member's account. Counts and balances cash register and completes required paperwork.
At the of each tour of duty clears the cash register and turns over cash and supporting documents as instructed. Conducts daily inventories.
Creates proper displays of goods; prices merchandise according to pricing guides; and maintains stock level. Assists with manual inventories on all merchandise and resale items on a monthly basis.
Ensures proper opening and closing procedures of facility are followed. Maintains area in clean and orderly condition. Performs housekeeping duties in sales and storage areas.
