About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Moose Run Golf Course on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK.

This is a Seasonal position Not-To-Exceed 31-Oct-2026. This position is Flexible, meaning you are guaranteed a minimum of 0 hours per week to a maximum of 40 hours per week.

Your schedule will depend on needs of the facility. Who May Apply: Open to everyone. Applicants will be categorized by preference(s) and/or priority consideration eligibilities.

An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 04/30/2026 Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse/Widow/Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Preferred to have experience in cash handling and/or retail or food service work of any kind; experience should demonstrate knowledge of proper cash handling procedures, the ability to resolve common arithmetic problems used when receiving payment from customers, and the ability to operate a Point-of-Sale (POS) system.

Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to read, speak, and write English. Must possess skill in dealing with the public.

Must successfully complete DRAM Shop Theory training. Major Duties:

Works in the Snack Shack, Snack Bar, or on the Beverage Cart to serve the patrons on the Golf Course.

Serves a variety of food and beverage items which include, but are not limited to; hot dogs, nachos, soft pretzels, chips, candy, drinks, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

May operate a gas beverage cart on the golf course, working independently, to include loading and unloading the beverage cart in accordance with set standards.

Maintains a change fund, records sales, receives payment, makes change, and dispenses snacks and beverage items to patrons. May be required to mix simple alcoholic drinks.

Responsible for stocking, direct selling, and restocking of the beverage cart, snack shack, or snack bar coolers. Maintains sales records and consumption reports as required.

Turns over cash and supporting documentation to supervisor at end of shift. Keeps work area clean and orderly. Performs other related duties as assigned.
