This job is for a sales clerk at a golf course on an Air Force base in South Carolina, where you'll sell golf merchandise, handle customer payments, manage tee times and rentals, and keep the shop organized.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Have responsible experience in clerical, office, cash handling or retail sales store work of any kind which demonstrates the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position.
Experience must demonstrate knowledge of proper cash handling procedures, the ability to resolve common arithmetic problems used when receiving payment from customers, and the ability to operate a cash register.
Be able to read, speak, and write English. Possess skill in dealing with the public. Be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:
Performs over-the-counter selling of a variety of golf related merchandise. Answers customer questions, and provides product knowledge to customers. Assists with inventories, replenishes stock.
Reforms housekeeping duties in sales and storage areas. Rotates and moves pro shop displays to enhance sales. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Handles customer transactions through operation of pro shop POS and tee time system. Responsible for ringing in sales, cash handling and the completion of daily paperwork involving sales transactions.
Coordinating daily operations involving cart sign out, club rentals, tee times, order of play, telephone inquiries, event sign-up sheets and customer follow-up.
