Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing safety of occupational health program elements, and developing and recommending safety and occupational health policy to higher levels of management.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will review and examine organizational safety program management and support, industrial work operations and processes to identify high hazards (e.g. explosives, hazardous materials. etc.).
  • You will determine the nature of the adverse exposure, estimate its intensity and duration, and establish parameters.
  • You will serve as a lead trainer by scheduling classes, preparing syllabuses and teaching outlines for subordinate safety and occupational health specialists.
  • You will provide technical safety program management oversight for mandated programs, under the direction of the safety supervisor.
  • You will assist in designated Command investigations, prepare limited distribution and confidential mishap messages, reports, and endorsements regarding mishaps.
