Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves overseeing safety programs in a naval shipyard in Hawaii, where you'll inspect work sites, investigate accidents, and ensure everyone follows health and safety rules to prevent injuries.

You'll help keep workers safe during industrial tasks, from routine checks to emergency responses.
You will serve as a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST in the OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY & HEALTH DIVISION of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting investigations of mishaps and/or performing risk assessments in order to develop specific methods for hazard mitigation and injury prevention; issuing safety and occupational health surveys to identify/evaluate risk potential involving hazardous work environments and occupations; developing and recommending safety and occupational health policy to higher levels of management.
