Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).

You will serve as a Safety and Occupational Health Specialist in the Safety Office of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Evaluating work for compliance with applicable construction safety and occupational health regulations, standards, principles, and practices; 2) Using mishap investigation techniques and Human Factors Analysis Classification System (HFACS) to investigate and provide recommendations; 3) Developing and implementing workplace safety training; 4) Using knowledge of trade occupations, machinery, and maintenance techniques to identify failures in human or equipment performance; AND 5) Operating instruments such as sulfide detector, oxygen level indicator, and sampling pumps to detect hazardous atmospheres and working conditions.
