This job involves maintaining vegetation and infrastructure along high-voltage power line corridors in the Seattle area, including trimming trees, removing debris, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring safe access for utility workers.
It's hands-on outdoor work that varies daily and supports keeping the city's electricity reliable and environmentally friendly.
A good fit would be someone with experience in forestry, logging, or outdoor construction who enjoys physical labor, team collaboration, and learning new skills in a dedicated public utility setting.
Seattle City Light, a department of the City of Seattle, is one of the nation’s largest municipally owned utilities in terms of the number of customers served.
Over the years we have worked very hard to keep Seattle's electricity affordable, reliable, and environmentally sound.
Today, City Light is a recognized national leader in energy efficiency and environmental stewardship.
The Power Line Clearance and Landscapes Org Unit is looking for a Right of Way Maintenance Worker to support vegetation management and maintenance work on the Transmission Rights-of-Ways (TROW).
