Full Job Description
The Division of Services for People with Disabilities, within the Department of Human Services, is looking for a dedicated professional to fill our Program Specialist II position. The Program Specialist II will validate and process such requests for additional services per program criteria.

Utah Division of Services for People with Disabilities (DSPD) promotes opportunities and provides support for people with disabilities to lead self-determined lives by overseeing home and community-based services for more than 5,000 people who have disabilities. Requirements
- Process requests for additional services (RFS) within the Medicaid Waiver and related contract requirements for Home and Community-Based Services waiver programs
- Process RFS through private support coordination (SCE) for direct service contractors on USTEPS case management system per RFS criteria.
- Maintains division controls over services and related coding for units and rate and duration within the array of contracted services.
- Applies RFS program and fiscal controls related to needed PCSP changes.
- Implements the process and controls of the DSPD Individual Budget Worksheets (IBWS) for an individualized PCSP budget needing updates by the SCE.
- Demonstrates leadership in accomplishing DSPD division mission, goals, and objectives.
Qualifications
Required:- Has experience supporting individuals with disabilities to lead self-determined lives.
- Has experience in Person-Centered thinking and processes.
- Has knowledge of Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS)
- Has knowledge of HCBS Setting Rule
- Has strong interpersonal skills
- Has a strong understanding of cultural competence
- Has the ability to work well independently
- Is an excellent listener who is also proactive
- Has the ability to work well with a wide range of people with varying interests.
