What You Will Be Doing

Under general direction of the Retirement and Benefits Specialist 3, the incumbent will assist management as well as staff in the Appeals/QDRO unit by providing a variety of duties that will assist in processing the section’s incoming work.

Duties included, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the QDRO email queue; responding, processing, distributing incoming emails from the QDRO queue accordingly
  • Manage the POA email queue; processing all incoming POAs, responding to inquires, coordinating with other sections to complete requests or processing actions as necessary
  • Maintains and compiles appeal files and appeal records for incoming, current, and past appeals; working within the appeal process deadlines
  • Processes Child Support Orders, IRS Levy Orders, and Court Orders; set up, terminations, QDRO Medical Premium bi-annual adjustments as necessary
  • Sort & distribute section’s incoming mail.
