This job is for a retail sales clerk in a state-run liquor store in Salt Lake City, where you'll help customers, handle cash, stock shelves, and ensure only adults buy alcohol in a busy environment.
It's ideal for someone who likes interacting with people, has a reliable work ethic, and wants a role with weekends and holidays off plus good benefits.
You'll also step up to manage basic store tasks when supervisors aren't around.

Use your customer service skills to assist the public.Ensure that all sales are made only to customers 21 and over.Perform cashiering duties.Assist in receiving and storing merchandise.Mark and display product for sale.Contribute to the department's service-focused mission by providing superior customer service.Assist in managing store operations in the absence of the manager or assistant manager, including opening and closing the store.
Minimum Requirements 21 years of age or older.Able to lift up to 50 pounds.Able to work a flexible schedule.Able to provide excellent customer service.Able to pass a criminal background check.Preference(s):Preference may be given to current employees of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services.DABS stores are closed on Sundays and all state and federal holidays.

Requirements Processes transactions at a cash register, gives correct change, and closes till at end of shift.Assists customers in finding products, making selections, and purchasing items.Screens for intoxication, checks identification, and watches for shoplifters.Conducts regular and/or spot check inventories of merchandise, supplies, or equipment.Ensures that there is an adequate supply of materials available.
Orders, receives, inspects, and stores equipment, merchandise, commodities, materials, and/or supplies.Receives and fills liquor orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required.Maintains building(s) and/or facilities in a clean and orderly condition and/or removes snow from sidewalks and doorways, etc.Receives shipments and coordinates handling and storage.
Additional Information Physical Requirements.
Extensive standing/walking (approx. 70%/30% of shift). Must lift, pull, push, and carry 50 lbs. frequently. Requires constant balancing, grasping, and finger dexterity.
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and seeing. Requires frequent talking, hearing, and hand/wrist/arm use. Tools: POS, box cutter, hand truck.
Walk on either level or uneven surface frequently. Occasional climbing.
