Summary

This job involves overseeing daily care and support for people with intellectual disabilities at a Pennsylvania state center, by coordinating teams, creating personalized plans, and ensuring residents can make their own choices.

Key Requirements

Selinsgrove Center is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Residential Services Supervisor to help us continue to care for people with intellectual disabilities in achieving their personal life goals in an effort to lead an everyday life.

Requirements

In this position, you will ensure the individuals at the center receive support and services by coordinating and overseeing the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) Process.

Your work will involve assisting professional and non-professional staff in planning and organizing support services for specific individuals.

You will be responsible for supervising IDT members in the development and implementation of support plans, as well as monitoring these plans and revising them when needed.

Some of your duties will also include functioning as the incident management point person for assigned individuals by ensuring incidents are reported and reviewed, as well as analyzed to identify patterns.

Additionally, you will empower individuals to make decisions and exercise control of their lives.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Weekends, alternate shifts, overtime, and travel as needed
  • Free parking!

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of professional experience providing therapeutic care and services for individuals with a developmental disability, which included the development and implementation of individual residential support plans and services, and possession of an active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania; or
  • One year of professional experience providing therapeutic care and services for individuals with a developmental disability, which included the development and implementation of individual residential support plans and services, and a bachelor's degree in human services, behavioral sciences, education, or nursing; or
  • Two years of professional experience providing therapeutic care and services for individuals with a developmental disability, which included the development and implementation of individual residential support plans and services, and a bachelor's degree.


Special Requirements:

  • All employees must meet the qualifications of a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations.
  • Applicants who qualify based on authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania who currently possess an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
