Requirements

As a Registry Specialist Supervisor, you will provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight for the daily operations of the Pennsylvania Immunization Electronic Registry System (PIERS) within the Health Level Seven (HL7) Interoperability and Data Quality Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and controlling the unit's core functions to ensure seamless data integration and system integrity. You will lead a specialized team dedicated to the promotion, implementation, and maintenance of standards-based interoperability between PIERS and external information systems. This collaborative effort facilitates the secure and efficient transfer of immunization records among health care providers, educational institutions, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other Immunization Information Systems partners.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Registry Specialist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of professional healthcare data management experience.


Other Requirements:
