  • Maintain and update patient charts, records, and information
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs., and work with potential hazards like contagious diseases

The Utah Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a highly motivated, qualified individual to work as a Registered Nurse in the Correctional Health Services Division. Job Responsibilities
  • Provides direct and/or indirect patient care oriented toward improving or maintaining health and preventing illness.
  • Coordinates clinical activities and follow-up.
  • Provides medical consultation in specialized areas of knowledge.
  • Provides clients with information concerning rights, options, benefits, services, goals and expectations.
  • Adapts program(s) to meet specific needs or concerns.
  • Maintains and updates patient charts, records, and information.
  • Develops or modifies rules, policies, or standards, etc.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah.
  • Must be able to pass a fingerprinting background check and drug screening.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous healthcare experience in an EMS, acute care or correctional health care setting.


Schedules:
  • We are currently hiring for either days or nights. Please note, your answer to the supplemental question regarding the schedule you would prefer may result in you being excluded from interviews.
  • Days: 6:00AM - 6:00PM, seven 12-hour shifts per pay period with rotating weekends.
  • Nights: 6:00PM - 6:00AM, seven 12-hour shifts per pay period with rotating weekends.
