This Registered Nurse position with Tulare County's Health & Human Services Agency involves providing direct patient care, such as giving medications, immunizations, and health education, while coordinating services across public health, behavioral health, and human services programs.
Nurses may visit clients in their homes and work with diverse groups, including children, families, and those with communicable diseases.

The Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency (HHSA) is currently recruiting a Registered Nurse.
The successful candidate must have the ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients, the public, staff, and other departments and agencies.
This position will work closely with licensed and non-licensed personnel to assess and coordinate services.
This recruitment will establish an employment list to fill immediate and future vacancies throughout HHSA’s Public Health, Behavioral Health, and Human Services Branches.

Incumbents working in Public Health Programs in the Public Health Branch will provide services to people with a variety of social and economic backgrounds (a variety of ages, different cultures, etc.).
Public Health Programs include California Children’s Services, the Child Health and Disability Program, Public Health Nursing Community Health, Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health, Communicable Disease, and Tuberculosis programs.
Duties will include interaction with medical and mental health service providers on behalf of clients and HHSA staff.
Incumbents working in the Public Health Branch, Mental Health Branch, and Human Services Branch may visit clients in their homes.
Candidates accepting one of these positions may be eligible for loan repayment of up to $16,000 in exchange for a 12-month service obligation practicing and providing direct patient care in an underserved community.
