Under the supervision of the Nurse Supervisor this position:Provides nursing care to individuals in designated units.
Maintains acute medical issues for the facility in the absence of the Nurse Supervisor.
Manages medication and procedures according to pharmacy and nursing guidelines.
Actively documents and participates in the rehabilitation of consumers.
Assists in planning and providing nursing care with responsibility for the assessment of nursing needs and the initiation of nursing intervention(s)according to all licensing and certification requirements.
- Provides guidance and develops nursing staff to ensure quality activity, care, and treatment for all individuals.
- Assesses needs of individuals, identifying obvious symptoms of physical or emotional illness, formulate sand executes a plan of care, and evaluates outcomes. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on the integration of the nursing care plan in the Individual Support Plan (ISP).
- Performs clinical skills in a competent manner and ensures a clean and safe environment. Provides training and acts as a resource for nursing staff.
- Performs and participates in activities as otherwise assigned by the Nurse Supervisor.
Positions for this posting are located at Saleeby Regional Center, an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF-IID) of BHDD-OIDD located in Hartsville, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This position is eligible for up to$6.25/hour shift differential for applicable shifts!
Sign-on bonus for eligible candidates will be distributed after one, six, and twelve months of successful continuous Full-Time employment.

Qualifications
Administrative abilities and general knowledge of intellectual disabilities.
Basic computer skills to include the use of Therap and SCEIS Central for time and leave purposes (Electronic Documentation System).
Knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations and basic safety practices. A valid Driver's License.
Physical abilities including lifting, pushing, standing, stooping, kneeling, and running. Ability to work with individuals who may be physically aggressive or medically fragile.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments for certain periods of time.
