Requirements

In this position, you will be responsible for designing and delivering educational programs to meet the staff development needs.

You will create, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive orientation program for all new nursing staff, overseeing and documenting their progress throughout the orientation period.

Duties include developing and presenting professional educational resources and training programs that comply with licensure regulations and standards.

Additionally, you will lead lectures on various aspects of nursing practice, ensuring that procedures and practices are validated through ongoing research and continuing education.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, flex schedule, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Work schedule is flexible, may be required to work an earlier or later shift.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of professional nursing experience; and a bachelor’s degree in nursing, nursing education, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university; or
  • One year of professional nursing experience and a master's degree in nursing, nursing education, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.


Special Requirements:

  • You must be in possession of active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
