In this position, you will design and lead a comprehensive orientation program for newly hired nursing staff.
This involves researching, planning, implementing, coordinating, and continuously improving program effectiveness.
You will monitor each employee’s progress throughout the orientation period, providing clear evaluations and documentation to support their development.
Responsibilities also include creating, scheduling, and delivering professional education and in-service training programs that meet licensure regulations and align with DMVA standards and other governing bodies.
You will develop and present engaging lesson plans on a wide range of health-related topics, tailored to the evolving needs of the facility and its staff.
To stay current with best practices, you will participate in required in-service and optional external training opportunities.
You will also work closely with supervisors and human resources to coordinate staff participation in training programs, ensuring a well-prepared and highly skilled nursing team.
