This job involves working at a refuse site to inspect waste materials, direct traffic for safe dumping, enforce rules, clean up debris, and maintain the grounds while reporting any issues.
It's an entry-level role in the solid waste department, ideal for someone reliable and customer-oriented who can handle outdoor work in a public-facing environment.
No prior experience is needed, just a high school education and basic skills in communication and safety.

Current vacancy is with the Solid Waste Department located in Visalia and Woodville. The anticipated life of the list is six months.
Minimum qualifications are used as a guide for establishing the education, training, experience, special skills and/or license which are required and equivalent to the following.

Candidates selected will be required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
Additionally, a background investigation may also be conducted, which may include a re-investigation every 10 years for some positions.

College Cost Reduction Access Act
This may be a qualifying position for student loan forgiveness through the College Cost Reduction and Access Act (CCRAA).
