This job is for a lifeguard at an indoor and outdoor pool on a military base in California, where you'll watch over swimmers, enforce safety rules, perform rescues if needed, and help with training and maintenance.
It's ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fitness environment, has strong customer service skills, and is comfortable in water-based roles.
A good fit would be a safety-focused individual with lifeguarding experience who can handle both routine supervision and emergency situations.
This position is located at: Oasis Pool - Fort Irwin, California. The Oasis Pool is an indoor/outdoor training pool that provides Unit PT, Lap and Fitness swimming.
It includes a standard 25 meter pool, locker rooms, and a 3 meter diving board (Soldiers training only). Resumes must be two pages (or less).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possesses and maintains the following certifications: Lifeguard (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent i.e.
Star Guard or Ellis); American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional; CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent (i.e. Star Guard or Ellis); First Aid.
Customer service experience. Highly Desirable: American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor or nationally recognized equivalent i.e.
Star Guard or Ellis Lifeguard Instructor Certification; OR American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Star Guard or Ellis Water Safety Instructor Certification.
In addition, for facilities that use Oxygen Administration "O2 bottles" the O2 Administration certification (American Red Cross "Oxygen Administration" or nationally recognized equivalent i.e.
Star Guard or Ellis Oxygen Administration) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification must be obtained within two weeks of reporting for duty.
