Job Description

Summary

This job involves helping run recreation facilities at a military base in Kentucky, such as opening and closing buildings, handing out sports gear, collecting fees, and keeping everything clean and in good shape.

It's a hands-on role that supports fitness and leisure activities for the community.

Key Requirements

  • 6 months of customer service experience (highly preferred)
  • 6 months of experience in recreation field or programs (highly preferred)
  • 6 months of experience working with a cash register (highly preferred)
  • Ability to conduct surveillance, report issues, and ensure facility security
  • Skills in cleaning facilities, tracking inventory, and preparing maintenance work orders

Full Job Description

This position is located at MWR Community Recreation Division - Physical Fitness Centers - Fort Campbell, KY. This position is eligible for the NAF benefits package and leave accrual.

Qualification Requirements are: Work experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties described above and a valid drivers license.

You must also include the Highly Preferred criteria in your resume, if applicable. Major Duties:

  • Assists Facilities Operations Team Leader; opens and closes facilities; locks/unlocks doors and windows, assuring security systems are operable; Conducts surveillance of total facility and reports any unusual findings to supervisor
  • Issues and receives recreational equipment to and from authorized users, collects applicable fees for items issued or damaged, accounts for and safeguards monies collected, and makes daily bank deposits.
  • Pre-checks, prepares, explains use, and monitors proper equipment usage; tracks inventory of supplies, monitors equipment condition and works with staff too ensure adequate equipment is available
  • Tests mechanical equipment for serviceability after each use. Removes damaged or unusable equipment from inventory. May be required to drive a motor vehicle as needed. Prepares work orders for maintenance which cannot be completed by staff.
  • Cleans interior and exterior areas of building , recreation equipment, supply and facility area to make facilities/playing fields/pools/outdoor courts ready for use.
