About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Community Center, Ramstein AB, Germany. This position does not offer logistical support.
Assists in program operation and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
Special emphasis is on programs for families and family members and special groups such as retirees, singles, and private organizations. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

Citizens and legal U.S. residents in Germany. In accordance with the Status of Forces Agreement between Germany and the U.S., you must be a U.S. citizen or citizen of a NATO country with a U.S.
permanent resident card in order to be eligible for NAF employment.
Citizens of Germany (including dual citizenship if Germany is one of the countries) as well as "ordinarily resident" US citizens are not eligible for NAF employment per SOFA agreement.
If not already in the commuting area, must be able to verify the ability to arrive before a firm job offer can be sent.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have experience which provides a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs; and practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities equipment, rules and procedures which involves recreational work in the area of specialty in which the position is assigned.
Must have ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Practical knowledge of customer service standards and cashier and funds handling.
Ability to safeguard and handle cash. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Major Duties:
Assists in program operation and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
Special emphasis is on programs for families and family members and special groups such as retirees, singles, and private organizations.
Types of duties include, but are not limited to the following: Carries out recurring group activities such as classes, clubs, special events, outreach, competitive games and events, and self-directed leisure.
Recommends new programming activities, to include type of format and resources the activity would require.
Gathers information from a number of different sources, including past programs and current popular programs in other communities.
Maintains file folders and information of all activities from start to finish to assist in future events (after action reports).
Evaluates the information and makes a judgment on what meets the needs of the specific clientele/groups. Assists in promoting marketing strategies.
During deployments, exercises, and other special conditions, leads leisure activities and assists with services. Sets up rooms to support meeting group needs. Greets facility users and conducts tours.
Decorates facility to reflect holiday and program themes. Reports facility repairs and maintenance requirements according to procedures. Assists in maintaining facility to meet operational standards.
Works/leads other staff members, volunteers and individuals/personal services contract personnel. Must be able to accept cash, collects fees and protects fund.
Directly assists Recreation Aids and teaches employees front counter procedures to include payment methods and Point of Sales procedures. Performs all other duties required.
