About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Shaw Lanes Bowling Center Shaw AFB,SC. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 03/10/2026 Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse/Widow/Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Be able to follow written and oral instructions and be able to give instructions.

A practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules, procedures and skill in the use of maintenance of various equipment and facilities is desirable; however, no experience is required.

Have pleasing manners with public and neat in appearance. Position is a position of trust. Must satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:

Opens or closes Bowling Center if on a shift basis. Responsible for all cash funds during a shift. Assigns lanes, rents shoes, and sells merchandise.

Assists customers in choosing bowling equipment best suited for them. Monitors pinsetters and reports problems to maintenance personnel. May occasionally have to perform minor pinchaser duties.

Makes deposit for Bowling Center and Snack Bar. Promotes leagues and tournaments as instructed by manager. Ensures smooth operations in all areas of Bowling Center and Snack Bar during assigned shift.
