Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job is for a lifeguard at a military base pool in Louisiana, where you'll watch over swimmers, enforce safety rules, and respond to emergencies by performing rescues and first aid.
You'll also help with swim lessons, keep the pool area clean, and test water quality.
It's a good fit for someone who enjoys working with people, stays calm under pressure, and has basic water safety training.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: - Possesses and maintains the following certifications: Lifeguarding and First Aid (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent i.e.
Star Guard, YMCA, or ELLIS); American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional; CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED or equivalent (American Heart Association CPR/AED); First Aid.
- For facilities that use Oxygen Administration "02 bottles" the 02 Administration certification (American Red Cross "Oxygen Administration or installation offered training (i.e.
Fire Dept.) must be obtained within two weeks of reporting for duty.
