The primary purpose of this position is to provide unparalleled combat-ready communications and Cyber support to the organization mission with the primary purpose to develop and oversee records management and maintain information used by the organization.

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 3 years of general experience, 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in other pay systems.

General experience is described as: performing records information management work which includes planning, controlling, directing, organizing, training, promoting, and other activities involved with respect to records creation, records maintenance and use, and disposition in order to achieve adequate and proper documentation of the policies and transactions, and effective and economical management of agency operations; requires knowledge of records management laws, regulations, rules, policies and procedures; the principles and concepts of information governance of various phases of records and information management and the complete records process and content management framework that supports the entire life cycle of agency records.

NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

OR EDUCATION: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of the Record and Information Management Program, applicable Federal and Public laws/Executive Orders/DOD Directives/Air Force Instructions, and National Archives and Records Administration guidelines and polices governing life-cycle management of records to include electronic records and information.

Knowledge of the Publications and Forms Management (PFM) Program and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act Coordinator through applicable legislation, DoD regulations, and AF policies.

Knowledge of RIM principles, policies and guidance to operate storage/staging facility and conduct staff assistance visits.

Skill to use operating system software, database concepts, and peripheral storage devices associated with management installation RIM program.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and provide recommendations to senior leadership and unit technicians.

Ability to establish, conduct and provide training and deliver training in installation standard operating procedures.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Major Duties:

Manages the installation's Records and Information Management (RIM) program: Reviews proposed wing publications including instructions, supplements, manuals, pamphlets, brochures, and visual aids and forms submitted by offices of primary responsibility (OPR).

Manages the organization's Publications and Forms Enterprise Data. Manages the Air Force Information Management Publishing Tool (AFIMPT), Manages Eglin's Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act Program.
