Base salary range: $26,979 - $35,074

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a READINESS TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD1094000 and is part of the TN ARMY National Guard.
This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT), Chapter 103 (Volunteer Chapter).
Military Grades: E-4 through E-6 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the candidate's ability to perform the duties of the position.
Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1 year of specialized experience at the next lower grade, or at least 12 months experience in the interpretation and application of regulations, procedures or laws.
Experience that provided a thorough knowledge of administrative functions. Experience utilizing research tools. Experience providing guidance and setting priorities. Major Duties:
As a GS-0303-08, READINESS TECHNICIAN, you will advise the commander on training, logistics, personnel and unit mobilization readiness requirements and ensures the unit develops, updates, and maintains comprehensive mobilization plans.
Serve as primary point of contact for input into the unit readiness reports. Manage the military school program of the unit.
Prepare and/or review training directives, individual training records, operation orders, mobilization plans, SOP's, and readiness reports.
Forecast, allocate, and monitor the usage of training ammunition for the unit.
As directed, ensure the armory is properly cared for, safeguarded and the process for rental of the facility is handled in accordance with governing directives.
Maintain working relationships with local officials, clubs, etc., for a variety of purposes such as armory security coordination with police, suitability investigations, armory rental, unit participation in celebrations; or, fund raising drives, emergency operations and homeland security, and to provide public information about the National Guard.
Coordinate the recruiting and retention efforts of the unit with full-time Recruiting and Retention personnel. Perform recruiting duties to maintain the unit at authorized strength.
Work with other assigned full-time support personnel, to care for, clean, and maintain the National Guard Armory to include lawn care and general maintenance. Perform other duties as assigned.
