Full Job Description

This position is located in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) within the Patent Issuance and Systems Division (PISD), Office of Data Management (ODM).

The incumbent will serve as the Quality Management Specialist who will be responsible for analyzing programs and operations to validate productivity and efficiency, provide support, and make recommendations that will improve the effectiveness of business operations within the Office of Data Management.

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position.

OPM Qualifications Standards are available at General Schedule Qualification Standards (opm.gov) Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.

To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-11.

Specialized experience for this position includes: Analyzing operational data and performance indicators to identify issues and develop recommendations for improvement; and Recommending corrective actions to improve process quality and timeliness across workflow cycles; and Reviewing and assessing submissions for accuracy and completeness, documenting findings and next steps.
