Key Requirements

  • Two years of clinical experience in a human services agency, including one year in administrative, evaluative, or consultative roles in healthcare, plus a bachelor's degree in social work, nursing, health care administration, behavioral sciences, or related field
  • Equivalent combination of relevant experience and training
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and accreditation standards in healthcare
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, critical thinking, organization, objectivity, and timeliness
  • Ability to work full-time (37.5 hours/week) on-site in Pennsylvania, Monday-Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with possible overtime and travel

Requirements

A key function of a Quality Assurance-Risk Management Specialist is to conduct the hospital's investigations related to alleged/suspected patient abuse and patient complaints/grievances. Responsibilities include a strong understanding of regulatory and accreditation standards, along with knowledge of evaluating compliance with those requirements. You will gather and analyze data related to patient abuse, patient rights grievances, hospital practices or procedures, and patient care trends. The work of this position requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, critical thinking, organization, efficiency, objectivity, and timeliness.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
    • May change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime and travel: As needed
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional experience as a member of a multiple disciplinary treatment team in a public or private health care facility and a bachelor's degree; or
  • Two years of clinical experience in an human services agency, including one year of administrative, evaluative, or consultative experience in a health care program; and a bachelor's degree with major course work in social work, nursing, health care administration, behavioral sciences or a related field; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
