Job Description

Summary

This job involves ensuring the quality and safety of aircraft and related equipment for the Saudi Arabian National Guard's aviation operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, by reviewing procedures, analyzing data, and managing maintenance programs.

A good fit would be someone with experience in aircraft inspection and quality control who can work overseas, provide training, and act as a go-between for military units and contractors.

Full Job Description

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: Position is with Office of the Program Manager, Saudi Arabian National Guard (OPM-SANG). This position is located in Al Nakhla, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Specialized Experience (GS-12): One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Reviewing written quality or inspection maintenance procedures for adequacy; Evaluating the implementation and effectiveness of quality/inspection Aircraft systems; AND Analyzing quality data to detect unsatisfactory trends or weaknesses in the quality/inspection system.

Major Duties:

  • Serve as a quality assurance specialist for aviation weapon and support systems assigned to support the Ministry of the National Guard (MNG) aviation operations at Kashm Al An (KAA) and Dirab Airfields.
  • Responsible for the life cycle quality of goods and services through incorporating value-added assurance practices into command technology, acquisition and logistics processes.
  • Manage production, quality and execution aspects of OPM-SANG’s field maintenance and systems modification work order (MWO) programs on all MNG aircraft, related aircraft components, ground support equipment, and aerial delivery equipment.
  • Provide instructions, advice and training to ensure command objectives, programs and projects are understood.
  • Function as liaison between the aviation field maintenance activity, the contractor and all supported units.
