Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).

To qualify for a Quality Assurance Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or related to, this position.
To qualify for the NH-03 level, specialized experience must be at the NH-02 or GS-11 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector.
Creditable specialized experience includes: Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge in monitoring, controlling, or maintaining the quality of products or services in quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production, or related areas.
Examples include: The application of the full range of principles, concepts, and methodologies related to the quality assurance functional programs.
Establish process measurement points and statistical techniques/methods to measure, analyze, and continuously improve processes.
Experience applying process-related practices, methods, and techniques such as statistical analysis; control and sampling; process proofing; and quality data analysis, to evaluate Government and contractor data and determine contractor compliance with the many aspects of quality control.
Perform investigations of defective material for cause and corrective action and initiate process improvements with the contractor as needed. Major Duties:
