About the Position: Serves as a Public Safety Telecommunicator for dispatching Fire, Emergency Medical Service (EMS), and Law Enforcement (LE) responders, monitoring alarms and activating Mass Notification Systems in Army Garrison Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) / 911 Centers.

Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal Service which includes: 1).
Experience in operating automation, emergency dispatching, and communications equipment using consoles. 2).
Experience using crisis intervention skills, interrogation skills to determine problems and best course of action to be taken during emergencies. 3).
Experience using computer and software systems to dispatch emergency personnel. 4). Experience using fire suppression systems and fire alarm detection equipment in offices and facilities.
5) Experience proving medical dispatching assistance for initiating immediate and appropriate emergency response.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
