This job involves managing communication efforts for a U.S.
Navy support activity in Australia, including building relationships with local communities, handling media interactions, and creating content for social media and other channels to promote Navy programs.

You will serve as a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST in the US NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY STIRLING . The location for this position is Rockingham, Australia.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Knowledge of the broad range of Public Affairs and Community Relations principles, practices, and concepts in order to successfully run the internal and external communications programs.
- Skill in coordinating a multifaceted community relations and/or public affairs program in the principles of strategic communications planning, external and internal communications, media relations, social media engagement, and community relations is desired.
- Skill in developing written materials for a variety of communication channels to convey information concerning complex programs and functions to various organizations that have varying degrees of education and comprehension.
