This position functions as a second-line manager of professional positions in a standard work area receiving executive direction. This position is responsible for managing, directing, developing and evaluating all aspects of the Department of Psychology at WRPH, including but not limited to organizing and directing overall program
of clinical activities, providing professional and administrative supervision, training/educational activities for psychology staff. Recruits and ensure newly hired psychology staff receive training. Serves on various hospital wide committees.

This is a Drug and Alcohol-tested (DART) position under the criteria provided in the collective bargaining unit agreement due to regular contact with hospital patients.

The preferred and appointed candidate will be subject to pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty and follow-up drug and/or alcohol testing.

    Education
    Possession of a master's degree in psychology.
    Experience
    Six years of professional experience equivalent to a Psychologist, including two years equivalent to a Psychologist Manager 13 or one year equivalent to a Psychologist Manager 14.

    Additional Information

    Possession of a temporary master’s limited license, master’s limited license, doctoral limited license, or full license to practice psychology in the State of Michigan.

    Full license to practice psychology in Michigan preferred

    Preferred:
    Full license to practice psychology in Michigan
    PhD of PsyD in clinical, educational, or experimental psychology and Formal training in IQ and projective tests, in applied behavioral analysis, and neuropsychological testing
