This job involves working as a Psychiatric Aide at Torrance State Hospital, where you'll provide hands-on care to patients with mental health needs, help with daily activities like eating and grooming, and support a team focused on patient well-being under nurse supervision.
It's a full-time role with evening shifts, ideal for compassionate individuals who enjoy direct interaction and want to help vulnerable people in a hospital setting.

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care with a focus on patient-centered approaches and perform various other duties as needed.
Responsibilities include participating in hospital and department orientation, completing necessary classes and exams, and engaging in staff development initiatives.
Additionally, you will assist with activities of daily living, skin care, room maintenance, and mealtimes while following hospital policies and procedures.
You will also comply with safety protocols, adhere to time and attendance guidelines, and act as a role model using therapeutic communication with staff, patients, families, and visitors.
