Full Job Description

The Provider Partnership Liaison is to enhance and sustain effective partnerships between SCDSS and contracted providers, not limited to but including Child Placing Agencies, group care providers, and community-based partners to strengthen service delivery, improve outcomes for children and families, and to promote enhanced alignment and streamlined communication between the Department and provider partners.

This role will serve as a functional component of continuous quality improvement efforts by elevating adaptive and technical challenges experienced by providers to agency leadership.


Meets with community-based providers, CPAs, and group care providers on a periodic and on-going basis to foster communication, build relationships, and address and technical or adaptive challenges related to operations, contracting, and other functions related to service provision.

To include interfacing with other state agencies to help address needs of provider service provision.


  • Collaborates with internal program staff and management to troubleshoot and resolve provider-related challenges, ensuring that issues are documented and follow-up actions are tracked.

  • Solicits and provides constructive feedback to providers to improve service provision, ensure compliance with SCDSS requirements, and promote best practices.

  • Tracks and elevates provider concerns, operational barriers, or systemic issues to the appropriate internal leadership or program area for timely resolution.

Develops formal quarterly engagement reports outlining systemic barriers and strengths related to various contracts and services for children and families and works with program staff to develop recommendation for process improvement of identified challenges.

To include documenting provider interactions, feedback and resolutions ensuring transparency and improved outcomes.


  • Facilitates cross-program meetings, work groups, or forums that encourages open dialogue between providers and SCDSS to strengthen alignment of practice, service array, and provider partnership.

  • Assists in the development and dissemination of guidance, tools, or training materials that support provider practice and service delivery. To include sharing state and federal policy changes that impact provider service delivery.

  • Conducts quarterly provider visits and other provider engagements on an as needed basis.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree and relevant program management experience. At least 3 years of experience in human services, social work, child welfare, provider relations, or a related field.
