Three (3) years of journey-level experience, within the last five (5) years, administering or adjusting California workers' compensation indemnity claims, -AND- possession of a valid California Self Insurance Certification of Achievement, obtained by passing the California State Self Insurance Plans exam.

Our Assessment Process: This examination will consist of THREE (3) parts:
Part I: A Multiple-choice and/or simulation assessment(s), weighted at 50%, assessing:
Candidates who meet the requirements and achieve a passing score of 70% or higher on each weighted test part will be placed on the eligible register.
Exam Review
Some exam components are not subject to review by candidates. Multiple-choice and/or simulation assessments are not reviewable by candidates per Civil Service Rule 7.19.
Test Preparation
We provide study guides and other test preparation resources to help candidates prepare for employment tests. While the guides may help with preparing for the test, we recommend reviewing all related materials that seem necessary.
Eligibility and Vacancy InformationCandidates who passed the assessment(s) are placed on an eligible register in the order of their score group for a period of six (6) months.
We will use this register to fill vacancies within the Chief Executive Office’s Workers’ Compensation section as they occur.
