About the Position: This position is the USAREUR-AF Program Manager for the Soldier Training Support Program (STSP).

Performs work of an unusually high degree of difficulty with responsibility to provide developmental and analytical staff support for the administration, management, implementation, and resource of the Soldier Training Support Program affecting training theater wide.

Mission Support: Overseeing Training Support functions of a program to include procurement/contracting, budget, and personnel AND; 2.

Program Management: Identifying and Analyzing issues within a program to improve training support by leveraging Training Aids, Devices, Simulator, and Simulations (TADSS) across a major command AND; 3.

Tracking System Management: Utilizing a tracking system to manage inventory, maintenance, and/or sustainment of training devices.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

Major Duties:

  • Serves as the Program Manager and technical consultant to the Division Chief on a wide variety of complex operating program within the STSP.
  • Develops long and short range funding, manpower, and narrative justifications for submission to Department of Army for the purpose of influencing the level of out-year resources.
  • Serves as the USAREUR-AF expert on TS-MATS which is the standard tool for managing acquisition, fielding, maintenance, and sustainment of all Army fielded TADSS.
  • Functions as immediate first level supervisor over a team of technical positions on a regular and recurring basis.
