This is position is located in the Community Long Term Care, Aiken County.

Are you the One? We are looking for a Program Manager I who works under the general supervision of the regional Community Long Term Care (CLTC) director using discretion in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, timeliness standards and in dealing with confidential matters. Maintains knowledge of all CLTC programs and related systems including but not limited to Phoenix information system. Coordinates, manages and directs multi-county health and community programs in long term care involving the implementation and coordination of the delivery of a system of services for various Medicaid waivers. Assists other CLTC offices with essential job functions when program needs and scheduling permits. Must have the ability to work independently to implement programs according to established goals and philosophy. Supervision will be indirect and through observation, conferences, written materials, community feedback and on-site reviews by Central Office program staff.
  • Directs the daily operation of assigned multi-county CLTC Office including administrative and management procedures while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
  • Monitors and directs the CLTC program activity.
  • Performs fundamental supervisory functions in accordance with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) standards.
  • Assists in planning for a long-term care service delivery system.
  • Maintains quality and integrity of data entry and reporting.
  • Identifies service needs and assists in development of policies and scopes of service.
  • Performs and coordinates emergency preparedness/shelter duty activities as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned adhering to all program, agency, State and other related policies, procedures, privacy, and timeliness standards.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Nursing, Business, or Public Health Administration and four (4) years of professional experience including two (2) years of supervisory experience.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted with prior State Human Resources approval.

Necessary Special Requirement: Current licensure as a Social Worker by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners or current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing.

Preferred Qualification: Five (5) or more years of CLTC program experience.

  • Sitting or standing for long periods of time.
  • Occasional overnight travel.
  • Requires holder to drive routinely.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Lifting requirements: 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform web-based software functions (keying participant data, run reports, update documents, etc.

Qualifications

  • Gerontological preparation desirable.
  • Experience in long term care, service planning, & service delivery for impaired or disabled persons.
  • Considerable knowledge & skills in management, community organization and supervision.
  • Written and verbal skills in evaluation & interpreting & explaining CLTC program goals.
  • Understanding of Medicare and Medicaid, State and Federal regulations & health and social service agencies.
  • Must have analytical skills, the ability to interpret statistics, understand research & evaluation procedures, ability to coordinate interdisciplinary activities & to make sound independent decisions using professional judgment.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Personal computer skills.
  • Ability to multi-task within time frames and prioritize utilizing effective time management skills.
