Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987

This job involves leading efforts to create and enforce policies that ensure smooth and lawful operations across border patrol programs in the Tucson area.
You'll review operations for compliance with rules, work with teams inside and outside the agency to fix issues, and help keep everything running effectively and consistently.

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S.
Border Patrol, Tucson Sector, Policy and Compliance, Mission Readiness Operations, located in Tucson, AZ.
Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Developing, interpreting, and implementing policies or standard operating procedures (SOPs) to standardize compliance across multiple offices, programs, or field locations.
Conducting comprehensive compliance reviews or audits of programs or operations to assess adherence to Federal laws, regulations, and agency policies, and recommending corrective actions.
Interpreting and applying Federal or agency-level policy, directives, or guidance to develop local or organizational procedures that ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., other program offices, headquarters elements, or field units) to align policies, resolve conflicts, and ensure consistent implementation of compliance standards.

As a Program Manager, you will become a key member of a team of Homeland Security professionals managing a variety of agency-wide law enforcement programs.
Typical work assignments include: Leading sector efforts to support policy execution, compliance management, and program-planning.
Providing administrative expertise and guidance while performing a variety of comprehensive services related to policy and compliance.
Collaborating with other offices to identify new requirements, resolving problems, and standardizing compliance. Overseeing the coordination of new policies and compliance standards.
