The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Accelerated Compensation for Developmental Position (ACDP) Management Support Specialist under the guidance of a senior or higher level specialist, the incumbent performs a variety of Management Support Specialist duties in support of assigned program(s).

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

General Experience is described as experience: General experience is 3 years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4, that demonstrates the ability to: 1) Analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions 2) Planning and organizing work 3) Communicating effectively orally and in writing In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least 1 year of general experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in other pay systems systems assisting with applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of a program, ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organization strategies and performance, and the ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.

Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.

2. Comprehensive knowledge of a substantial administrative and/or program principles, concepts, policies, and objectives. 3.

Knowledge of logistics processes, provisioning procedures and peculiarities of provisioning requirements development as well as tactical and strategic approaches to logistics management. 4.

Skill in applying specialized analytical methods and techniques to resolve difficult assignment related management administrative problems and issues. 5.

Ability to analyze historical data, trends, past and future assignment related data and select the appropriate planning methods for accomplishment of assigned tasks. 6.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

Duty 1: The incumbent uses continuous developmental knowledge as a Management Support Specialist utilizing analytical ability, judgment, and discretion to accomplish a substantial body of administrative and/or program objectives.

Duty 2: Carries out special projects designed to facilitate the full use of training and development.

Duty 3: Participate in special logistics workforce operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments.

Duty 4: Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
