This position is in the Office of Inspector General/Audit & Compliance Unit, SCDMV Headquarters in Blythewood, SC.
****This is a Four-Year Temporary Grant Position****
Responsibilities of the CDL Body Camera Program Coordinator• Monitor usage of body cameras and tablets, evaluate test administration, report findings, and make recommendations.
• Provide technical support to end users and work with IT and various vendors to resolve equipment issues.• Distribute and setup body cameras and related equipment for third-party testers. Train third-party testers on usage, care, and maintenance of equipment. Educate testers on related policies and procedures.• Assist with program design, implementation, and maintenance of the CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) Third-Party Tester (TPT) Body Camera Program.
• Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records
• Assist with creating, maintaining, and distributing statistical reports. Provide information and updates to management and stakeholders. Attend legislative, public, stakeholder meetings and present information.• Performs administrative and other related duties.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
• A bachelor’s degree and relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted with prior approval.
Agency Requirements
• Must have a valid South Carolina Driver’s License (Class D) and be at least 21 years of age.
• Must successfully complete a CDL Examiner Training Course within three months of being hired.
Additional Requirements
• Proficient in using a variety of applications, operating systems, protocols, and equipment.• Knowledgeable in troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals. • Must have excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. • Ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations, create presentations, and prepare reports. • Considerable knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to commercial driver’s licensing is preferred. • Works both independently and with team. • Reports to the program manager, receives limited guidance and supervision. • Must be able to manage work and use independent judgment. • Job is at the Blythewood Headquarters location but requires extensive travel throughout the state including overnight stays. • Normal hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday but occasional work outside these work hours and weekend hours may be necessary. • Physical requirements include lifting up to 30 lbs and bending, crawling, climbing as needed.
Qualifications
Agency Preferred• A bachelor’s degree and experience with information systems and applications, installation, operation, or related IT experience. At least one year experience in direct end-user support.
