Job Description

Summary

This job involves analyzing and managing cyber-related programs for the Department of Defense, focusing on budgets, contracts, schedules, and coordination with leaders to ensure projects stay on track.

It supports the US Cyber Command's mission through planning and oversight of acquisitions and resources.

Full Job Description

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service.

It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.

It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA DKAGAA-ID43.

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.

Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.

For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Evaluating short- and long-range acquisition plans, including funds, sources, and scheduling to meet program objectives and milestones; developing and implementing administrative policies and procedures for program management; analyzing, developing, and coordinating a wide range of programmatic actions, funding, contracts, and other performance data; and coordinating effectively with senior management and key stakeholders.

Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume.

All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement. Major Duties:

  • Evaluates the progress of implementing the master plan, joint force objectives, and utilization of funds for the organization.
  • Develops policies, procedures and methods required for the administrative management, control, and maintenance of assigned programs.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates a wide range of programmatic funding, contract, schedule and other performance data primary acquisition data, reports, studies, projects, information provided by staff and customers utilizing analytical techniques.
  • Coordinates with senior management, oversight, customer, and support officials in the formulation and review of acquisition plans, milestones, schedules, resource requirement determinations and other program solicitations.
  • Some travel may be required IAW the Joint Travel Regulations.
