Job Description

Summary

This job involves designing, managing, and evaluating training programs to help employees grow and support the organization's goals in a defense cyber operations office.

Full Job Description

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service.

It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. This position is located in the DISA's J9(HAC)/OPERATIONS SUPPORT OFFICE.

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.

Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.

For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience designing and implementing training programs that support organizational goals and workforce development, which includes developing strategies to address employee growth needs, evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives, and collaborating with others to create individual development plans (IDPs) or mentoring opportunities.

Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume.

All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement. Major Duties:

  • Position is responsible for establishing and managing the Center’s training programs and providing program management support in all phases of a project lifecycle, including development, acquisition, and sustainment
  • Support long-term planning by reviewing and evaluating Center programs, coordinating consolidated out-year requirements with senior managers, and ensuring that funding requirements are identified and justified in the Future Year Defense Plan (FYDP).
  • Provides budgetary expertise to the Center Chief, identifying actual and potential funding problems, summarizing historical data from current and prior years and identifying significant trends.
  • Ensures compliance with overall Center objectives as well as DoD/DISA policies and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Federal acquisition laws and regulations and statistical, accounting, budgeting, and economic principles and techniques.
