Job Description

Summary

This senior-level role involves acting as the deputy manager for a major procurement system in the Defense Logistics Agency, overseeing everything from development and testing to deployment and budget decisions, while stepping in to make key calls when the main manager is unavailable.

It requires building partnerships with high-level leaders across government agencies to keep the program on track with defense goals.

Ideal candidates are experienced program leaders with deep knowledge of government acquisition processes and a knack for managing complex teams and technologies like AI.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position.

To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.

Creditable specialized experience includes: - Demonstrates mastery-level expertise in management and program analysis - Provides senior guidance and knowledge related to the acquisition life cycle to include program management, development, overall operational effectiveness and oversight of PMO systems and other designated systems.

- Provides overall direction and guidance for the development, acquisition, testing, systems integration, product improvement, and deployment of assigned and single sign on capabilities.

- Provides managerial guidance on development of program policies, procedures, and practices for organization systems, and ensures that the organization is responsible, accountable, and in compliance with overarching directives and guidance.

- Provides management oversight for PMO architecture, legacy and emerging systems, AI/ML development and enhancements to include program management control and evaluation activities to meet desired mission outcomes.
