This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
The incumbent will be responsible for serving as an advisor and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the Deputy Assistant Director for Strategy and Policy Integration and other senior agency officials regarding strategic planning and improvements to the organizational processes performance with regards to global/functional initiatives impacting the Security Cooperation mission.
You may qualify at the GS-14 grade level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A.
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Developing frameworks and methodologies, project plans, recommendations and/or other materials related to global/functional initiatives impacting the security cooperation mission Leading projects to facilitate and developing security assistance or security cooperation strategic planning and implementation.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
As a PROGRAM ANALYST at the GS-0343-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Researches, develops and oversees the implementation of standard methodologies, frameworks and templates to address continued and emerging initiatives including the analysis of the impact on, and requirements for, working with foreign partners to determine what resources, policies, and plans are required to posture the security cooperation community to support.
Monitors, reviews and analyzes risks and opportunities associated with policy dialogues, congressional requirements, and program implementation in order to develop, coordinate and assess accomplishment of program goals and objectives as they align to Agency's strategic plan and national security, foreign policy and defense guidance.
