Job Description

Summary

This job involves analyzing and developing training programs for professionals who handle domestic abuse and child abuse cases within military communities, including researching best practices, creating workshops and online modules, and advising senior leaders on related policies.

About the Position: This position is assigned to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Community and Family Policy (DASD (MC&FP), Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Personnel and Readiness (USD (P&R)).

This position may be eligible for situational telework as determined by the agency policy.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).

Major Duties:

  • Incumbent will be the primary Analyst for Coordinated Community Response training development and implementation for the Department of Defense Coordinated Community Response to domestic abuse and child abuse and neglect.
  • Responsible for research, designing, developing, and facilitating training programs for professionals on domestic abuse and child abuse and neglect intervention and response.
  • Facilitate research-based training development, evaluation, and implementation utilizing diverse teaching methods, including interactive workshops, online modules, just-in-time training mechanisms, and presentations.
  • Conducts unprecedented special assignments on complex high-priority issues in which the scope frequently alters as the work progresses.
  • Identifies and investigates potential problem areas to develop solutions and/or new management and program objectives as appropriate.
