Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (GS-13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (NH-03/ GS-13 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector executing and reporting of regulatory-quality oversight for a nuclear weapons system and/or program.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will provide technical guidance and oversight of assigned nuclear weapons systems or activities for an organization (e.g. security and safety policies, operations, nuclear surety execution).
  • You will validate compliance of operations and maintenance activities for an organization against technical documentation, record message traffic, instructions and memorandums.
  • You will prepare, deliver and defend detailed reports and briefings to high ranking military officers and senior civilian officials.
  • You will perform independent regulatory-quality compliance and oversight monitoring of assigned activities for Navy Nuclear Deterrence Mission priorities, objectives, resources, key programs, policies, and regulations.
