Full Job Description

You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the Business Process Reengineering (BPR), C1512 in the Ship Maintenance Performance Group Division (Code 1510) of the Naval Shipyard Support Office (Code 1500) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying Advance Industrial Management-Next Generation (AIM-NG) processes and IT applications related to shipyard water processes and procedures.

Experience understanding process re-engineering techniques (e.g., Lean and Agile).

Experience applying shipyard Baseline Project Management and Integrated Project Teams for Aircraft Carrier Maintenance strategies.

  • You will serve as a Program Analyst for the Navy maintenance processes and associated IT requirements to support NAVSEA shipyard operations.
  • You will develop formal process improvements using structured functional analysis and design techniques.
  • You will develop, monitor, and execute contracts for work performed in support of the Naval Shipyard Support Office (NSSO) mission.
  • You will analyze data to create and assemble various required presentations and reports, providing information on progress, innovations, problems encountered, etc.
  • You will plan and conduct management studies, reviews, and investigations to develop and recommend procedures and to determine adherence to program requirements.
