Job Description

Summary

This job involves planning and coordinating ship repairs for the Navy, including creating cost estimates, work plans, and technical specs to ensure everything runs smoothly.

You'll manage resources, inspect ships, and handle workloads for different repair shops.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Production Controller (SHIPS) in the Production Department of FWD DEPLOYED REG MAINT CTR DET ROTA.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing production cost estimates, drafting work packages and managing resources related to ship repair and; 2) Writing technical work specifications, planning workloads, ordering materials, and performing quality assurance procedures.

  • You will perform ship check inspections and generate technical documents used to determine ship’s material condition.
  • You will review/screen incoming work requests for completeness and trade applicability.
  • You will maintain workload assignments for all work assigned in the respective Product Family shops.
