Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job is for a Printing Officer at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, where you'll lead a team to manage printing projects, ensure high-quality outputs, and handle procurement for government materials.

This position is located in the Office of Administration, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer. Washington D.C. is a potential duty location for this position; however, the Washington D.C.
office is expected to relocate to Alexandria, Virginia. Selectees may be required to report initially to Washington, D.C and later report to Alexandria, Virginia.
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience for this position includes: Experience supervising or leading a team of employees and/or contractors and monitoring their progress towards accomplishing goals and meeting deadlines; AND Supervisory experience in oversight and management of printing operations and project management to include developing project milestones and/or deadlines, and identifying contractual requirements; AND Experience reviewing proofs and final products at various quality levels of printing and ensuring they meet the specifications within of the U.S.
Government Publishing Office (GPO) and U.S. Code Title 44; AND Experience working within the printing industry and print shop operations as well as print procurement.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.

As a Printing Specialist, you will: Serve as the immediate supervisor of branch employees.
Maintain an organizational environment that positively influences employees' ability to deliver high quality and timely products and services.
Take or recommend substantive personnel actions regarding selection, promotion, classification, training, discipline, and performance management.
Serve as the certified Project Manager (PMP or equivalent) for complex, high-dollar, high-profile Departmental projects.
